Alternative to Google Analytics
By Todd Brown | January 8, 2008
I recently came across a fantastic alternative to Google Analytics if you’re looking for a simple, but very cool, website analytics program.

It’s called GoingUp! and it’s not only really simple to use, but it also comes with some super-user-friendly reports.
I just started testing this system a couple of weeks ago, so I don’t have much to report right now. However, being that it’s FREE, it’s definitely worth a little test run. If you try it out, let me know what you think.

I don’t know this solution … but I have recently discover a similar application : Piwik!
Piwik is an Open Source solution to measure your website audience, that is a true alternative to Google Analytics and Xiti! One first big difference is that contrary to the two latter Piwik keeps your visitors’ data on your own server. That means you can be assured that nobody else gets access to them! It is undoubtedly a good point as tracking and personalized advertising are more and more unwelcomed by users.

i have a website that i am using this on http://www.apolopedia.com you may be able to see one of the buttons now, but it worked great for the first month.
then after a while, the site was down every other day or so and now it doesnt track anything! the button will keep counting up, but when i want to see the people, it does not give me any data. Maybe 1 every other day if im lucky! If they did more work and responded to my questions, i would keep it, until then google analytics is good until i find something else.
good thing i always keep 2 different analytics working at once.
I always keep google analytics just because and then i will find something else
